Gerrard L. Grant practices in the firm's Federal Tax Controversy Group. The primary focus of his practice is to assist both individuals and companies in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Grant works with clients on every step of the controversy process, including drafting protests, meeting with appeals, filing petitions in the Tax Court and complaints in District Court, and assisting with trial preparation and settlement discussions.
Mr. Grant is also a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Grant worked in the Federal tax practice group with a "Big Four" public accounting firm where he advised large multi-national corporations on federal, state, and international tax issues, reviewed income tax provisions for financial statement disclosures, and prepared and reviewed U.S. federal and state income tax returns.
