James’s practice covers all aspects of intellectual property. He has drafted and prosecuted patent applications, and has experience responding to office actions and conducting examiner interviews. James has represented clients across a wide range of technical areas with an emphasis on electrical and mechanical arts.
James previously worked in Motorola’s CDMA networks business. He deployed the first on-site application for Motorola’s CDMA software and network devices, taking him to three provinces in China to make the first 3G calls in those regions. Additionally, he interned at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office drafting the first official action for three cases. He also interned for the Honorable Judge Lynn N. Hughes of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
