Ashley Alderman focuses her practice on estate planning and estate administration for high net worth families and individuals.  She has advised families and individuals on various estate planning matters, including drafting of wills, trusts, advance directives, sales to defective grantor trusts, and transfers of life insurance policies.  She has also assisted families in the estate administration process, from probate of a will through filing of a federal estate tax return and closing the estate, including complex estates involving discounts and Graegin loans in post-death estate planning.   Ms. Alderman also frequently advises Guardians and Conservators on Probate Court filing requirements, administration of the guardianship and conservatorship estates, and the closing of such estates.

Ms. Alderman also has an active corporate and transactional practice in which she brings to the table her tax expertise.  She has significant experience in the purchase and sale of various forms of business assets and interests in a wide range of industries.  In addition, she assists clients in the formation of business entities and provides advice on the ongoing operation of such business entities, including review and drafting of various agreements for corporations, such as employment and shareholders' agreements.  Ms. Alderman is also well-versed in the restructuring of entities as part of business succession planning.
