Profile
Will Cowan is a business attorney in the Houston office of Chamberlain Hrdlicka, where he advises Texas business owners on a wide range of transactional matters. His practice includes business formation, restructuring, and the sale and acquisition of companies. Will also has substantial experience in corporate governance, commercial real estate acquisitions and leases, and state and federal regulatory filings.
During law school at the University of Houston, Will was an active member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team and won Baylor University’s “The Closer” Transactional Law Competition. He also served as an Articles Editor for the Houston Business & Tax Journal, further developing his focus on business law.
Prior to his legal career, Will served as an Intelligence Officer in the Texas National Guard. In 2019, he deployed to Iraq in support of Special Operations Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (SOJTF-OIR), where he delivered daily intelligence briefings to senior leadership. He also gained private-sector experience at Gerson Lehrman Group, where he connected management consulting firms with subject-matter experts to support strategic market research.
Outside the office, Will enjoys playing golf and volunteering with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as a member of the Ranching & Wildlife Committee.
