Kelli Church is an associate in the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group in Atlanta. She defends employers in federal and state courts and administrative proceedings involving alleged wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, and pregnancy and medical leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act. Ms. Church has experience defending employers in both Fair Labor Standards Act collective actions and wage and hour Rule 23 class actions. She has represented employers before state and federal administrative agencies nation-wide, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division and Employee Benefits Security Administration, the Texas Workforce Commission and other state agencies. Ms. Church frequently drafts restrictive covenant agreements and employee handbooks for multistate employers.
- Obtained summary judgment for a fire department in a lawsuit brought by a former employee asserting unpaid overtime and retaliation under the FLSA in United States District Court, Middle District of Florida.
