Gavin Giraud’s practice encompasses many aspects of intellectual property law, with a focus on preparation and prosecution of patent applications. Gavin’s background in physics has enabled broad expertise and the ability to draft hundreds of patents in technological fields such as oil field pumps and downhole tools, turbine engines, medical devices, display circuits, computer software, semiconductor manufacturing, automotive tools, and farming equipment tools.
Gavin has counseled with large global corporations and small, focused businesses in planning and developing a strategic patent portfolio of domestic and foreign patents. Business advise has included freedom-to-operate opinions, counsel on licensing and potential monetization of intellectual property, and potential patent infringement opinions.
