Jerry August, shareholder and chair of Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Philadelphia tax practice, will present at ALI-CLE’s annual seminar, Creative Tax Planning for Real Estate and Partnership Transactions, in Chicago.
August’s segment, ”Real Estate and Partnerships Under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act,” will offer an up-to-the-minute discussion of the critical new tax law changes affecting real estate and partnerships under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, including guidance from the IRS and Treasury. The course is designed for attorneys, accountants, developers, and other professionals involved in commercial real estate transactions.
He will also present “Choice of Entity Revisited in Light of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act,” addressing factors to consider when determining whether to operate as a flow-through entity or C corporation, and the 20 percent deduction for qualifying business income.
The seminar will also be available via webcast. For more information or to register to attend, visit the ALI-CLE webpage here.
