Article on Andrew Gadd joining Chamberlain Hrdlicka as First In-House Recruiting Head
In an article published on February 7, 2022, Law360 Pulse highlight’s Andrew Gadd as the firm’s first director for attorney recruiting and professional development.
Gadd shared with Law360 Pulse, “It seems to be there's a need everywhere, and that's to be able to maintain the service and expectation in our quality of work standards that our clients have come to expect from the firm."
"There's a lot more at stake when it comes to associate recruiting, aside from just the usual orientations that would make someone want to move, maybe like more work-life balance or a better benefits package and salary, because of how the work world has changed over the last two years," explains Gadd.
He also mentioned that associates are looking for a balance of remote and in-person work, and Chamberlain Hrdlicka currently has a hybrid approach. The firm is also focusing on professional development as remote work presents challenges to in-person mentoring.
Gadd shared that the firm offers a work-life balance, and strives to offer competitive salaries, benefits and mentors, noting that recruiting involves more than a salary figure. "So, we try to sell the entire package," said Gadd.
