Profile
Jamihlia Johnson is a senior associate in the Tax Controversy & Litigation Practice Group.
Jamihlia represents businesses and individuals with disputes before the Internal Revenue Service and taxing authorities. She represents taxpayers at all stages of review including at the level of tax audits and examinations, appeals, and litigation. Jamihlia also has experience assisting her clients reach meaningful resolutions of their tax issues before an audit in the form of specialized tax opinions, memoranda, and private letter rulings requests before the Office of Chief Counsel.
Previously, Jamihlia worked at a firm in Chicago where she focused on corporate finance transactions. In addition, Jamihlia was a senior associate at the national office of a Big Four public accounting firm where she routinely advised Fortune 500 multinational corporations, high net-worth individuals, as well as foreign governmental entities and investors on United States international cross-border tax planning opportunities relevant to inbound, outbound, and financial products transactions.
Jamihlia is active in her community and currently serves as a board member of Mujeres Latinas en Acción, the longest standing Latina-led organization in the nation committed to empowering underserved women and minority communities.
