Profile

Jamihlia Johnson is a Senior Associate in the Tax Controversy & Litigation Practice Group at Chamberlain Hrdlicka. 

Jamihlia advises businesses and individuals with disputes before the Internal Revenue Service and taxing authorities.  She represents taxpayers at all stages of civil tax proceedings including tax audits and examinations, IRS appeals, summons requests, pre-trial settlement with the IRS and Department of Justice, and litigation before the U.S. Tax Court and U.S. District Courts.  In addition, Jamihlia assists her clients reach meaningful resolutions of their tax issues before an audit occurs in the form of specialized tax opinions and private letter rulings requests before the IRS Office of Chief Counsel.  Jamihlia has extensive knowledge advising Fortune 100 multi-national companies on a range of complex international and cross-border transactions and routinely opined on these matters in her roles at both accounting and law firms. 

Jamihlia participates as a volunteer mentor for the ABA Section of Taxation’s first inaugural Loretta Collins Argrett Fellowship, a three-year program committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the tax bar.
