Lauren N. Herrera graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. She earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from South Texas College of Law Houston. While in law school, Lauren served as President of the South Texas Student Bar Association. She was inducted into the Order of the Lytae and the Phi Delta Phi legal honors society. She was also a Langdell Scholar for Federal Income Taxation.
Lauren interned for the Honorable Justice Eva Guzman of the Texas Supreme Court and the Honorable Debra Ibarra-Mayfield of Harris County Court Number 1. She was also a member of the Board of Advocates and Varsity Moot Court program at South Texas. She was a finalist in the 2013 Hispanic National Bar Association National Moot Court Competition.
Lauren's practice focuses on civil litigation, including commercial litigation, personal injury, negligence, medical malpractice, breach of contract, real estate, insurance coverage, premises liability, and wrongful death. She was named a Houstonia Top Lawyer, a Sagacity Media publication, in 2017 and 2018, and she became a Long-Term Care Power Lawyer in 2018. The Long-Term Care Power Lawyer is an educational program focused on long-term-care trial practice. It is administered by the Long-Term Care Risk/Legal Form, a division of Litigation Management Solutions, L.L.C. She is a Past President of the Mexican-American Bar Association of Houston.
