West Conshohocken: Office Information

Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Philadelphia office, which opened in 2007, currently has nine lawyers who specialize in domestic and international tax planning, tax controversy and litigation on federal, state and local tax matters, and employee benefits and executive compensation.

Our tax planning lawyers represent top-tier domestic and foreign multinational companies in cross-border financial transactions, international structuring, global tax minimization, including transfer pricing and contract manufacturing arrangements, foreign tax credit management and planning, section 199 deductions, accounting method issues, including inventory methods and  capitalization issues, and advising on the application of FIN 48 to domestic and international tax issues.

Our Federal tax controversy and tax litigation practice also services some of the nation’s largest public and privately-held companies, for whom we have successfully handled nationally prominent litigation matters against the IRS and Department of Justice and resolved numerous other tax controversies at the administrative audit level or with IRS appeals.  Our State and Local tax practice services clients at all stages of the audit and appeal process, from the initial notice to the client that it was selected for audit by the state or local taxing authorities throughout the administrative and judicial process, including trial and appeals to the appellate courts.  For all of such matters, our lawyers in Philadelphia can draw upon firm-wide resources and expertise, providing them the ability to deliver the highest caliber range of services.

Our employee benefits and executive compensation attorneys represent companies who design and sponsor sections 401(k), 403(b), deferred compensation, and other employee benefit and retirement plans and ensure that those plans remain compliant under rules of both the IRS and Department of Labor.  Further, we advise those managing such plans on how to discharge their fiduciary responsibilities.
