In an article published on July 1, 2021, in Law360, Philadelphia-based Shareholder Jennifer Karpchuk discusses how the United States Supreme Court’s refusal to hear New Hampshire’s remote tax case against Massachusetts has left many other states disappointed since they were looking to this case for guidance. 

Karpchuk explains that many affected workers are still in limbo. "I think the problem with the Supreme Court denial is that these issues are still out there,” said Karpchuk.  "They are growing. They are not going away."

The article further explains why the justices declined to decide whether it is constitutional for a state to reach across its borders and tax out-of-state residents who are not physically present in the taxing state.
