Tax Traps and Employment Law Considerations of a Remote Workforce Webinar

The pandemic has created a widespread remote workforce, with more employees working remotely than ever before. While the public health crisis may soon come to an end, the working environment it has created may be permanent. This panel will discuss the state and local tax (SALT) and international tax implications of a remote workforce, including nexus and permanent establishment considerations, withholding, income allocation and apportionment, and constitutional issues. This panel will also discuss employment law issues surrounding a remote workforce and legal considerations for continuing to run a business during a pandemic, including federal guidance related to vaccinating employees, leave considerations, and workers’ compensation claims.
