Two Atlanta Chamberlain Hrdlicka Shareholders Named to Georgia Trend's 2019 "Legal Elite" List

Chamberlain Hrdlicka announces that Atlanta shareholders Erica Opitz and Christopher Steele have been selected to Georgia Trend magazine’s 2019 “Legal Elite” list. Opitz is recognized in the Corporate category and Steele in the Taxes/Estates/Trusts category.

2019 marks Georgia Trend’s 17th annual listing of Georgia’s top attorneys, as selected by their peers. To compile the list, members of the State Bar of Georgia were asked to submit legal practitioners they feel are “the best in their field.” Georgia Trend received hundreds of nominations across 16 distinct practice areas, which were later culled down into the final list by the publication’s editors.

Erica Opitz is a member of the firm’s Corporate, Securities and Finance practice group. She often serves as clients’ outside general counsel, assisting with corporate governance, commercial contract, mergers and acquisitions and privately held securities matters. Opitz represents clients across a variety of industries, including moving and storage, merchant services, certified public accounting, investment management, airplane battery manufacturing, building supply distribution, chiropractic, waste and recycling, chicken processing, fast food and plastic bottle manufacturing. She earned her undergraduate degree from Binghamton University, State University of New York and her Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law. This is Opitz’ first selection to Georgia Trend’s “Legal Elite.”

Christopher Steele is a member of the firm’s Trusts and Estates Practice Group, where he advises individuals, families and business owners. Steele focuses his practice on tax, trusts and estates. He handles matters including tax and estate planning, asset protection planning and the administration of complex trusts and estates. Steele earned his undergraduate degree from Georgia State University, his Juris Doctor from Mercer University and his Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida. This is his third selection to Georgia Trend’s “Legal Elite.”
