Larry Campagna, Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Managing Shareholder, to Deliver Keynote Presentation at Cristo Rey Corporate Leaders Luncheon

March 28, 2023

Keynote Presentation at 2023 Cristo Rey Corporate Leaders Luncheon will be given by Larry Campagna

Larry Campagna, the managing shareholder for Chamberlain Hrdlicka, will deliver the keynote presentation “From the Mailroom to the Boardroom” at the annual Cristo Rey Corporate Leaders Luncheon on March 29, 2023. The annual appreciation event recognizes corporate partners of the Cristo Rey Jesuit Corporate Work-Study Program.

Through the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP), Cristo Rey Jesuit, a Houston-based college preparatory school, empowers all students to be college-ready and career-prepared. Cristo Rey is the only school in Houston that incorporates on-site job experience into its academic curriculum. Students earn approximately half of the cost of their education through a job-sharing partnership with their classmates to cover full-time, Monday through Friday positions at 130+ companies throughout Houston, including Chamberlain Hrdlicka.

Chamberlain Hrdlicka has been part of the program for more than a decade, providing more than 30 students an opportunity to gain real-world work experience by collaborating closely with the firm’s employees across a variety of areas, from office support to file clerk, to provide the students with an understanding of a complex work environment and demonstrate why continued education is important for their long-term success. All Cristo Rey students who worked at Chamberlain Hrdlicka have attended college with many of them receiving scholarships.

The program deeply resonates with Campagna, who himself started his admirable career at Chamberlain Hrdlicka with a summer job as a file clerk, working his way over the next 45 years to managing shareholder, while building a national reputation as an authoritative litigator in matters of business litigation and criminal tax defense, as well as federal, state and local tax controversies. He has resolved thousands of civil and criminal litigation matters, many involving sophisticated and complex legal issues that established precedents in courts at all levels. He assumed the managing shareholder role for Chamberlain Hrdlicka just three months before the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic. In recognition of his leadership, decisive actions, and strategic vision, he was named among the Houston Business Journal’s 2021 Most Admired CEOs Award recipients.
