The American Lawyer highlights Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s New Privacy and Data Security Practice

October 27, 2020

Chamberlain Hrdlicka's new Privacy and Data Security Practice is highlighted in an article by The American Lawyer

A recent The American Lawyer article, 'As Cybersecurity Practices Become a Must-Have, More Firms "Give It the Right Name,"' discusses the growing demand for cybersecurity and privacy services and mentions our new Privacy and Data Security practice, launched earlier this month.  The article discusses that Aly Dossa, an intellectual property shareholder in Houston, is the chair of the practice and that Aly "has experience on a range of data privacy and protection issues, including information handling, cross-border data transfers, global compliance obligations, and mitigating and responding to data breaches and theft."

“It’s really just a realization that this has been a separate discipline for a while. Now firms are starting to recognize that people are looking for this particular expertise, so [we have to] give it the right name so people can find it. We’ve had people doing this kind of work for a long time,” said Larry Campagna, Chamberlain Hrdlicka's managing shareholder.
