Chamberlain Hrdlicka Authors 2nd Edition of Georgia Construction Law

September 2015

HLK Global Communication, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of the second edition of Georgia Construction Law (259 pages), authored by Chamberlain Hrdlicka's Atlanta-based Construction Law team, including Michael P. Davis, Nicholas S. Papleacos, Seth R. Price, Gina M. Vitiello, and Jill R. Johnson. Published by HLK Global Communications, Inc., this guide serves as a construction law handbook for industry leaders with projects in Georgia.

Chamberlain Hrdlicka's Construction Law practice provides a full range of services in counseling clients with any legal issue at any phase from pre-development to post-construction.

"There is a great amount of risk involved with construction projects, and the goal of each party involved is to mitigate this risk as much as possible in order to maximize the potential profit of the project," explained Price, who chairs Chamberlain Hrdlicka's Construction Law practice in Atlanta. This risk most commonly shows up in the contract between the participants. With such a wide range of issues that can surface in a construction project, it is important to have a clear understanding of the law when entering a contract and beginning work. This publication spells out the Georgia laws that are applicable to the myriad of issues that can arise on a construction project.

"Disputes can happen often during the life of a project, and this knowledge can be extremely helpful to all parties when trying to sort through these issues", added Davis. "Additionally, the book addresses items such as licensing and other paperwork requirements involved with a construction project, which results in a well-rounded publication."
