Jaime Vasquez, a shareholder in Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s San Antonio office, was recently named Lawyer of the Year in San Antonio in Tax Litigation & Controversy category in the 2023 Edition of Best Lawyers in America®. He was previously named Lawyer of the Year in the 2019 and 2021 editions of Best Lawyers in America.

Jaime concentrates his practice on federal, state, and international tax controversy matters. He has counseled clients in tax litigation matters, handling cases before the United States Tax Court, United States District Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is Board Certified in Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Jaime is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and earned his undergraduate and Master of Accounting degrees from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce, his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, and his Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University. He's been named to Legal 500 in US Taxes: Contentious category as Next Generation Partner (2020 & 2021) and Leading Lawyer (2022), and to Texas Rising Stars between 2014 - 2021. Jaime was also named “Outstanding Lawyer” and “40 Under 40” by San Antonio Business Journal and is the 2020 recipient of “Lawyer on the Rise” Texas Legal Award from Texas Lawyer. He’s been named to Best Lawyers in America for the past five years.
