Profile
Marcus Burnside focuses his practice on intellectual property for both domestic and foreign clients. With knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering, Marcus is able to assist clients in a broad range of technologies including computer hardware, oil and gas, automation technologies, robotics, communication hardware and software, data storage, gas turbines, and green energy technologies including solar and wind.
Marcus’s intellectual property experience enables him to assist clients in drafting patent applications, responses to office actions, and appeal briefs. In addition, Marcus is able to counsel clients in all other intellectual property matters including drafting and negotiating licenses, providing non-infringement opinions and invalidity opinions, and conducting due diligence.
