PHILADELPHIA, May 13, 2019 – Chamberlain Hrdlicka is pleased to announce that shareholders Kenneth Trujillo and Stewart Weintraub have been named to Super Lawyers’ 2019 “Pennsylvania Super Lawyers” list. In addition, Super Lawyers has also selected Jennifer Weidler Karpchuk, senior counsel, for inclusion in its 2019 “Pennsylvania Rising Stars” list. The respective lists will be published in the June issue of Philadelphia magazine.
No more than 5% of all attorneys across the Commonwealth throughout 70 practice areas are selected for inclusion in the “Pennsylvania Super Lawyers” list. Trujillo is listed by Super Lawyers as a “Top Rated Business Litigation Attorney” and Weintraub as a “Top Rated Tax Attorney.” The “Pennsylvania Rising Stars” list is comprised of no more than 2.5% of all lawyers in the state selected across 70 practice areas by a research team at Super Lawyers. Karpchuk is listed as a “Top Rated Tax Attorney." The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.
Trujillo represents United States and foreign corporations and government entities, executives, lawyers and other individuals with a focus on contract disputes, securities, antitrust, education and other regulatory issues. His practice involves complex civil litigation and class actions, and he counsels clients on governance, regulatory matters, internal investigations and government relations. Her clients include those challenging audit determinations and real estate assessment decisions, seeking refunds from state and local governments, handling administrative appeals, litigating unresolved disputes in state and local courts and handling post-trial appeals. Karpchuk is a frequent presenter nationally and is co-author of the Pennsylvania Tax Handbook, as well as the Pennsylvania chapter of the American Bar Association Tax Section State and Local Tax Committee’s Property Tax Deskbook.
